New Menu at the Oakeley Arms!
August 26th, 2014
Grub’s Up!
We are pretty excited here at the Oakeley Arms, and what a bank holiday weekend it’s been! Last week we launched our brand new menu, and we shared the news that a new chef has started here too – we give a big warm Welsh welcome to Steve Charlton.
The new menu at the Oakeley Arms is the biggest, and most exciting, menu make-over we’ve had. And it’s been going down really well with our customers so far, so how about a sneaky peek?
One of our absolute favourite dishes is the braised ox cheeks cooked in our own Oakeley Dokeley Ale. Or how does a sweet and sticky (and delicious!) pulled pork burger sound? If it’s fish that tickles your tummy then we love, love, love the Marmalade Salmon – a gorgeous salmon fillet grilled with an amazing gin and lavender marmalade, yum.
Ok, ok, we’re getting to the puddings now, our favourite part of the fabulous new menu at the Oakeley Arms! We are eating a little too much of Steve’s own bread and butter pud, smothered in homemade custard. Wow, it’s good! Or for a fruity pud, we’ve got a delicious Strawberry Tart or a banoffee sunday. If you’re tooth’s not so sweet then you could try our fab selection of local Welsh artisan cheeses.
And it’s not just the evening menu that’s had a make-over, the lunch menu has been transformed too. Choose from a great selection of gourmet sandwiches and salads like The Rambler (sausage, black pud, roasted red onion and wild rocket, all served hot) or Goats Cheese (goats cheese, sweet roasted beetroot, candied walnut and aged balsamic). Delicious!
As well as all of that, we’ve also got specials on the boards that change daily. And don’t forget about our fabulous range of side dishes too – hand cut chunky chips, or oakeley beer battered onion rings. Mmmmm, mouth is watering as we type!
But, don’t take our word for it……why not pop over to the Oakeley bar this week and try out our delicious new menu. We promise you won’t be disappointed!
