Directions

From the South:

M6 to junction 10a for the M54, then follow the M54 to the end. Take the A5 towards Shrewsbury then the A458 to Welshpool.
At Welshpool continue along the A458 then at Mallwyd roundabout turn right for the A470 and Dolgellau.
Pass Dolgellau and stay on the A470 towards Porthmadog.
Pass Trawsfynnydd Power Station, then continue for the A487 to Maentwrog (don’t turn right for the A470). At bottom of large hill, ignore turning for Maentwrog village and continue. The Oakeley Arms is just ahead on the right.

From the North:

M56 to junction 15 for M53, then A55 towards Conwy. Stay on A55 to junction 10 for Bangor and Caernarfon.
Follow A487 to Caernarfon, then pass through Caernarfon and continue along A487 for Bontnewydd then Porthmadog.
At Tremadog, turn right for Porthmadog, then straight through town, over cob and continue along A487 for Penrhyndeudraeth and Dolgellau.
Pass through Penrhyndeudraeth, and find the Oakeley Arms near the Tan y Bwlch turning on the left.
